Could not put this down
I usually casually read through a book, if I get a few pages in per day I’m satisfied. However, this book had my full attention. When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about my next chance to pick It up or talking off the ears of friends about how gripping it was.
This will be a number 1 recommended book alongside ‘Into Thin Air’ to anyone I meet.
Strikingly well-written...
I was quite taken by the fact that mountain-climber could be such an excellent writer...I just didn't expect it! I became solidly immersed in this horrific account of the author's harrowing ascent in the Pervuian Andes. His recounting of the torturous trip grabbed me from the start and propelled me through the book in two nights! Truly a fascinating read.
