Trauma Aware vs. Trauma Informed

Relationship As Medicine

She had it backwards! In this episode, I break down the difference between being "trauma aware" vs "trauma informed" for anyone who is a care provider working individually or within an organization or system.  People who haven't been overwhelmed by the impacts of trauma also value these types of care as well. You'll learn why being trauma informed is a necessity whereas being "trauma specific" is not.  In addition, I walk you through how to start moving towards being direct and informative with people impacted by trauma instead of haphazardly tiptoeing around them.

Have a listen and let me know how it lands for you! I’m really excited about this new podcast and want to keep shaping it around what’s supportive and engaging for YOU.
