About Mork
Mork is the one-man black metal project of songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Thomas Eriksen. Since the release of his 2013 privately issued debut album, Isebakke, and independently released, limited-edition 2016 follow-up Den Vandrende Skygge on Canada's HSP Productions, Mork's sound has been drenched in black metal atmospherics -- from brittle echo and buzzing, tremolo-blackened guitars to clattering percussive blastbeats and growled, screamed, and grunted vocals. His lyric themes regularly reflect on Norway's long, harsh winters, misanthropy, naturist paganism, the occult, and Satanism. He formed a live incarnation of Mork in 2014 but continues to work (mostly) solo on recordings. Eremittens Dal, the project's Peaceville debut, appeared in 2017 and included guests from 1349 and Dimmu Borgir, while 2019's Det Svarte Juv marked a return to solo recording. 2021's single "Svartmalt" featured Darkthrone's Nocturno Culto on guest vocals.
