But there she is at his gym. Then having a baby on the side of the road. Oh, and breaking him a little more with each step she takes away.
Eventually, they find their way back to each other. The only problem is, by the time that Mavis makes her way back into his heart, it breaks. And not in a rhetorical way. In the ‘he only has days to live’ kind of way.

Jerked on my heart strings is what it did. Wow. That was really good.
Mavis and Murphy
This is book 2 in the series and wow it was so good!!! It's a tear jerker but also has its hot and sweet moments. I am really loving this series so much. Its really different than the authors other works. Her love of Crossfit definitely comes thru in this story.
This is Murphy, Mavis and Vlad's story. Its a second chance at love but its also a hate to love story and has a bit of a soulmate storyline as well.
This story dealt with some tough subjects like heart disease as Murphy has heart disease. It also dealt with organ donations and the miracle this can give to people who desperately need it. I really loved how the author saw it and shared that with the readers. That for someone to get a new heart, it also means someone has to die. It was a different way to see it and one I had not thought about before.
Mavis and her sister were grandchildren to the Pope family who were really rich. But when Mavis gets pregnant with no husband, her grandmother dumps her, Mavis has her baby, Vlad and becomes a nurse.
The one place she loves to go excercise in the local crossfit gym class. Murphy is owner of an auto shop in town and he also loves crossfit. However Mavis and Murphy once knew each other as kids until her grandmother fire Murphy's mother. When he comes back to town as an adult, he hates Mavis for what her grandmother did and so starts their second chance.....

A fabulous, emotional read!
There aren’t enough stars for this amazing book! I’m not gonna lie, your going to cry…a lot! So get those tissues ready and sit back for one of the most enjoyable emotional rides you’ll be on.
No one rips your heart out and puts you back together in such an amazing way as Lani does.
Murphy and Mavis have a history that goes back to when they were kids. It’s not a good one if you ask Murphy. Mavis, on the other hand, has never forgotten Murphy and never will.
So when fate brings them back together it’s definitely not a happy reunion. But over time they fall in love. But their story doesn’t end there. Things don’t get easier for them, fate has more in store for them and if they can weather this they can hopefully have each other forever.
