This feed has it all

All I’m looking for is a different perspective on things and the Megan’s bring it. Explaining funny things they say to my wife is incredibly confusing for her, but it means the podcast is doing its job of entertaining me!

Money Grab turns to crap with the Megan’s

Been listening to Sal since ‘07 and the Guess The Lines segment on the unnamed Bill Simmons podcast.

I made it through 4 minutes of the Megan’s show, when Megan Connelly was out and the other Megan’s husband filled in. Megan stumbled over a joke while defending Biden, knocked twitter (which they imply they use often) and then they both stated their blind hatred for Elon Musk. All this in 4 minutes of… I guess a sports gambling podcast. Politics aside, I doubt I would’ve made it 10 minutes. It was bad.

I’m not opposed to crossing into heavier topics on lighter non political shows but be intelligent and even handed. Ya know. So not to show your a jersey-buying fanboy ignoramus. That works and is understood in sport and makes life better. It’s natural in politics but makes life worse. Smart people know that so if they are political homers overlooking truth and wisdom for fanaticism and passion they try to sit on it, at the very least for ratings sake. Apparently that’s too much to ask. Yes, I support free speech and meritocracy so that makes me a 2023 conservative, but I can still listen to other lefties - many who are limousine lefties like Simmons and Sal - because they’re interesting and stick to the subject matter. If you can’t go 5 minutes without talking politics, you’re poop at podding.
