Publisher Description

In Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas, New York Times bestselling author Emily March presents a brand new arc set in the Lone Star State that features a family-linked trilogy within the author's romantic series.

Hope springs eternal in this enchanting Texas town.

Meet Gillian Thacker. Her business: Bliss Bridal Salon. Her passion: Weddings. Her own wedding: It’s complicated. Life isn’t turning out like she’d planned. The last thing she wants is for a real-life hero to ride to her rescue when an unexpected event puts her entire future in Redemption, Texas, at risk. So what’s a broken-hearted bridal expert to do? Maybe a new set of survival skills is exactly what she needs…

Tucker McBride has been proud to call himself a U.S. Army Ranger. But now that his days of service are over, he’s decided to put his expertise to use by founding a wilderness skills training school. He sets up shop in Redemption, next to Bliss Bridal, and so begins life: Part Two. Marriage has been pretty low on his agenda, but as soon as he meets Gillian, Tucker can’t help but contemplate the ultimate challenge: Convincing the reluctant bride to take his hand and leap into the adventure of a lifetime. . .until death do they part.

Fantastic hero

I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

This is the second book in the McBrides of Texas series, but can be read as a stand-alone. Tucker McBride has just left his military career and is going back to his family home in Redemption Texas. On his drive home, he sees a woman walking in the middle of nowhere. Gillian Thacker has just had a fight with her fiancé where she threw her engagement ring at him, she leaves and wreaks her car. Of course, Tucker saves her and is smitten. But Gillian gets back together with the fiancé, James the jerk, so she is off limits. Eventually James shows his true colors and calls off the engagement days before the wedding. Now Tucker implements his plan to win her heart. This is an overall enjoyable read. I really liked Tucker, he is smart, handsome and honorable. Gillian was a little harder to like, she was weepy and whiny and that kept this from being a five star read for me.

Tucker: Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I have only read Jackson from the rest of the series and they sound wonderful. Jackson was great. Now you really don't have to read Jackson to read this one (even though the characters are interwoven). I would highly recommend it though as it was a wonderful book.

Oh Tucker stole my heart from reading Jackson (what can I say, I LOVE military men!!!!) Tucker left the military and returned to Texas. From Jackson's book, we learned that Jackson, Tucker and Boone inherited some land from an aunt. He rescues Gillian when she wrecks her small SUV to avoid a wild pig. Gillian runs a bridal boutique with her Mother. Gillian is engaged to another man. They have a fight and she leaves to return home. Tucker is attracted to Gillian right from the beginning.

These two have several hurdles to overcome, mainly the fiance. The author really made these two work for their HEA. When Gillian becomes single again, she carries a heavy burden of self-doubt. She is attracted to Tucker but she is worried after just coming from a heavy break-up. Because this book is written in a dual POV format, you can really get that glimpse into Gillian's dilemma. She knows that she has to overcome the break-up to get to the other side (basically so Tucker is NOT the rebound guy!).

I adored this story! I personally give this 20 gold stars. The story was so well written. It was like I was right there in the middle of the story. There are some kissing scenes and after that it is faded to the next day or hours later. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone. I could see myself reading and re-reading this story again and again.
