    This week on The Fit with Fallon Podcast hosted by Fallon Mercedes Brock, Fallon speaks with Acupuncturist Sal Verduzco on how to heal yourself with Acupuncture. Sal has practiced Acupuncture and other forms of Chinese Medicine including Acupressure, Cupping, Tongue Diagnosis and more for decades. He has traveled the world helping patients activate their own healing through these different healing modalities. 

    He now is in the process of opening his own retreat on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico called "Casa De Spiritu." He wants to give people the tools to learn how to energetically heal, within a safe sanctuary, while journeying through self exploration. 

    In this episode Sal talks about how Chinese Medicine focuses on the physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of healing also known as the "Chi." He discusses that we all have the power to heal ourselves but Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine helps facilitate that healing within us. He wanted to challenge himself by putting himself in his clients shoes to see if the struggle was really "real" by taking four months to put on over 65lbs and then having to lose it all in the same amount of time.

Scientists no longer believe that this degenerative cerebral disease is caused by plaque build up in the brain, instead they concluded it is controlled by one's diet and lifestyle. 

     A lot of people with #Type2Diabetes are misdiagnosed, and actually have #Type1.5Diabetes. This is why they struggle controlling their sugar levels even though they are taking medication and adhering to a healthy diet. The real reasoning behind their uncontrolled sugar levels is primarily due to the pancreas not being able to produce enough insulin, rather than too much.  #Type1.5Diabetics instead need to receive a small amount of insulin in order to get back to the ideal glucose levels.
