The motivation behind these objectives stems from a deep-rooted commitment to reducing environmental impact, particularly in the face of challenges posed by the furniture industry's waste problem.

    Koskela's strategy involves designing out waste in their products, increasing their lifecycle, and implementing initiatives like the ReHome project, which allows customers to trade in old items for refurbishment and resale.
