Publisher Description
I’m not a good man, and I’ve never pretended to be. I don’t believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn’t paid for in advance.
What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18.
They have words for men like me—playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser.
My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me.
Sinner.
***Sinner is a standalone companion to Priest about Father Bell's brother Sean. You do not have to read Priest or Midnight Mass to read Sinner***

Jacob! Sir… I just finished listening to Lights Out and this narrator…something about that voice instantly puts me in the mood.
This book Sinner was correctly titled! And I cried about the mom. Family dying is too close for me right now. I finished this book in two days. It would have been one but I had to go to my stupid job 🙄.
Ms. Simone, you did that. I can’t wait to listen to Saint!
Profound, Beautiful, Wonderful
Cancer. A sinner who isn’t as much a sinner as anyone - especially himself - thought. A sassy reverend mother that might be the character that steals the show. This book is stunningly profound in places. Remarkably heartbreaking in places. This one actually hurt SO bad, it made me cry (and I am not a crier). I adore the “honest guy thing” and the “honest girl thing.” I seriously wish this was a real part of all adult relationships, because it’s necessary and mature - something sorely lacking in actual dating.
There is nothing political here. There are only the realities of an interracial relationship - the struggles, hiccups, and realities of two people of different races falling in love with each other. There is the way many, many Christian people view their faith and their deity (even if they are not the loud, angry voices proving their “faith” through dominance). If this is offensive or somehow political to you, you probably shouldn’t be reading this book to begin with for plenty of other reasons.

I’m only on chapter one because I can’t get past Morae Brehon’s voice. I genuinely thought it was Jacob Morgan trying to imitate a female voice. I wish I could exchange the audiobook for the physical book. In the preview, they should have included both characters. I have to enjoy the voices of the characters, and Morae’s is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Jacob is always amazing, though.
