A Fun Quick Read!
Loved this book!! A quick read that you can get done in one sitting but a full story with lots of emotions. Jack, now is a movie star but must make amends to his wrong doings in his past relationships. Peyton has returned home as a physician, when she strikes up with her arch nemesis from high school, Nick. When Jack Cooper shows up at the class reunion, secrets are let out from the past that will change relationships for the future.
I highly recommend this fun loving book. Looking forward to reading the other Jack Cooper stories!
Friends or More...
Nick and Jack were competitive throughout school. When Nick was named Captain of the baseball team, Jack's jealousy got the better of him. He did the one thing he knew would hurt Nick, ask Peyton out on a date. Nick, being the introvert, geeky type never had the guts to ask Peyton out. But he loved her from the day she offered to share her candy with him in class. Nick thought if he could "compete" with her grade-wise, it would put him on her radar.
Jack was always the "ladies man". He had no trouble getting dates. When he asked Peyton out, he didn't expect to enjoy being around her so much. As it was, Jack had dreams to become an actor and left just shy of Peyton giving her Valedictorian speech, forever crushing her heart. Nick was there to pick up the pieces, but Peyton saw him as just a friend.
Peyton returned home after becoming a doctor. While home, she picked up where she left off with Nick. They became fast friends, but nothing more. Nick, in attempt to get Peyton to "see" him, convinces Petyon to attend their High School reunion as his "date". There they run into Jack, who has unfinished business...
Jennifer Bernard brings fun, flirty romance in this novel. First love, high school drama, competitive spirit, and romance were all enterwined so effortlessly. If you're looking for a quick, fun, flirty novel with a HEA, this is the novel for you! A very enjoyable read. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

What a great start to what looks like a fun series of novellas Each boo in the series is a quick fun read highlighting Jack Cooper making amends to a woman he has wronged in the past. This book takes him back to his hometown and his high school reunion where the first girl he left broken hearted lives again. Peyton Locke may have gotten over Jack Cooper ut she's never forgotten what he did. Neither has she forgotten how Nick Kolanowski helped her that day. When Jack Cooper unexpectedly shows up at the reunion old hurts are stirred up and truths are revealed that will change all of them.
A quick fun read that you don't want to miss. Can't wait for the next adventure in the series.
