I loved the Veil series!
I loved the Veil series and I was looking forward to more glimpses into Muse's world. Her and Ryker have a great relationship and in the short story, this was explored. Ryker sends her on a call and she meets up with a bigger demon than she planned to. This demon can cast illusions and he decided to bring a certain favorite demon prince back! It was so heart wrenching to read Muse's thoughts and feelings about Akil but so good at the same time. It hurts so good would be an appropriate phrase. She does resolve some things in her mind and that was nice to read about as well.
Bonus Stories:
I always love a different POV and especially Stephan's! These were great and I enjoyed them
