Coming from the same town in central Portugal, Pedro and Paulo had long paths before starting Ten Years Sober and X-Sober. In his early twenties, Paulo was studying environmental engineering in Lisbon when he decided to move to Amsterdam and study Audio Engineer at SAE. In Amsterdam he got intoxicated with the electronic music culture of the city and eventually started his first musical projects Synesthetic and Contraband, and experienced his first releases and gigs around Europe. Pedro originates from a musical family, and from early age has been immersed and interested in music and playing instruments. During his teenage years he started a Capitão Ortense with his childhood friends and they got to play Nos Alive 2013 one of the biggest festivals in Portugal, where he got even more convinced to work as a musician, so he started studying Sound Design in IPA Institute in Lisbon in the same year. In 2015 Paulo had returned to Portugal and started his solo project Dope (PT) and Pedro was starting to get into electronic music more and more, so when they found themselves living together in Lisbon, they started jamming and creating some beats for fun. Fun became obsession and obsession became music and Ten Years.
Sober was born.
