Welcome to Instructional Coaching with Ms. B, where we believe that every teacher deserves a coach, and every coach does too!
I’m Chrissy Beltran, an elementary teacher who became a coach and I had to create my own coaching program that worked. Now I teach coaches how to design their coaching programs, build a school-wide action plan, and use differentiated strategies to support teachers. Plus, I’ve got a special spot in my heart for literacy coaches!
This podcast will cover instructional coaching strategies including modeling, co-teaching, and observations, coaching cycles, and more! We'll also talk about how to coach resistant teachers, how to establish yourself as a coach and define your role, set goals, manage your time, facilitate PLCs, and more! We chat with instructional coaches, principals, school leaders, and researchers!

Such a big help for coaches at every level!!
I have received so much great insight from this podcast! I am ready to take on the new school year!
Great for instructional coaches
I am a brand new coach this year and Buzzing with Ms. B has helped so much! I get great ideas and resources from every show. I really appreciate her sound, practical advice.
Great Podcast. So informative!
Coaching with Mrs. B gives great insight to the difficulties that come with being a teaching coach within a school. This episode in particular uses data tracking and usage to track where support is most needed and how to provide that support, because not everyone starts in the same place. I like that Ms. B breaks down different ideas for how to start with a new teacher, especially ones that may not have had coaches before or don’t know how having a coach could benefit their classrooms. It is important to keep in mind that not everyone wants a coach but that you can open their eyes to the benefits of having a coach, by meeting them where they may be falling short.
