Excellent podcast. Really interesting.

These are so well read and just long enough. I love my music so like hearing these back stories. But please, whoever puts these together - do something with the sound levels. They are all over the place. Some places, it’s really quiet, so you turn it up then the main podcast kicks in and it’s deafening. The ads and the intros should be the same sound level as the presentation.
Great Podcast

A lovely, dreamily read podcast, maybe read a bit slow at times, feels like they're trying to string it out a bit. Not too many adverts, and great information makes this a MUST listen. SUBSCRIBE!!!!!!! x
Nice pod

Very nice!
Different insights to stories you may know
11/04/2022
Different takes on lives you might know about. How they lived, where they came from how events lead to their often tragic deaths
Terrible
03/03/2022
No music rights and a reverential approach to all of the artists without critical comment or analysis. Sounds like a news of the world journalist writing for a very low IQ audience. Awful.
Too brief

A nice style of story telling but not enough detail. Describing the death of someone should take more than the half hour or so that these episodes take.
Excellent

Listen also to the other “Death Of” in the stable.
Death of a Rock Star/Sports Star
19/03/2021
I listen to a lot of Pods and the series of Death of a Rock Star and Death of a Sports Star are in my opinion of the very highest quality. The length, content and delivery are top end. Well done to all involved and please keep telling these stories. Ady Woolley
One of the best Podcasts

If you love music and have an interest in the lives of those who are forever intrenched in musical history, this podcast is for you. Every episode is beautifully written with delicious wording. The narrators are exceptional and bring the words to life in a way that is essential to story-telling. Not all podcasts/audiobooks prioritise this but DOAR has nailed-it. I look forward to every episode and frantically go on a deep-dive afterwards to find out more about each star. I’ve been most moved by the episodes on Eva Cassidy (of whom I have covered songs but never knew her story), Kirsty Maccoll and Otis Redding. Truly remarkable - please keep making episodes - I don’t want it to end!!
Great listen
