Publisher Description
The quest…
I’m Maclain Stone, and Taylor Mathews is my obsession, my reason to be a better human. Is that even possible? For her, I’ll try. Years of living in the fast lane—literally and figuratively—are catching up with me, as I fight to shift gears and win the right to commit to this incredible woman who has tumbled into my life.
The fight…
I’m ready for change, but is she? So far, she’s rejected every offer I’ve made and shut every door in my face. If she can’t admit her feelings to herself, how can she commit to me?
The fall…
She’s so close to showing me everything she is. I can feel her need in the fire of her touch, taste it in the connection of our kisses, and glimpse her surrender in the intensity of our passion. Yet I want more. But I can’t be her white knight until she admits she needs saving.
Customer Reviews
I loved Maclain and Taylor
No White Knight was another great read by Angel Payne and Victoria Blue. This is book eight in the Secrets of Stone series. I loved reading Maclain and Taylor's story.Taylor becomes Maclain's obsession and fights Maclain at every step, until one day when she can't keep fighting. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by the authors.

Check.... your move
Straight up, if you are looking at this review in the scope of if you should read this book then let me stop you right there. The answer is a huge YES!!! But you need to make sure that you read the first book in this epic series first. It could be read as a stand alone but there are a lot of references to the other characters in this series.
With that said, Mac and Taylor are amazing characters to be able to delve into. We have been able to see some snippets of them in previous books, and all that has done is wet the appetite for more. They are both strong bold characters that need to have their own way. The trick will be to see who bends and who breaks. Can they both see each other through there own issues. Can they make each other better people?
No White Knight is well written from beginning to end. The authors have this ability to make you see exactly what they are trying to get across to you as the reader. SO much so that you want to look up the places they are describing to see how well they nail it. Trust and believe that it is always a pleasure when you realize that the words on the page rival the images you will find your self Googling.
This series as a whole as come such a long way from the beginning in the best possible ways. You feel a true investment in all the characters, and are crossing your fingers for more.
