S2, EP13: Consumerism is Killing Your Ability to Build Wealth (and be happy)!

S2, EP13: Consumerism is Killing Your Ability to Build Wealth (and be happy)!

Consumerism accounts for 70% of the US economy. So, really it’s no wonder that we’re consistently marketed to and companies spend billions of dollars in advertising.

Now, I’m not condemning buying stuff -- using and spending your money is fantastic. Responsibly managing your money allows you to do all the amazing things that make you happy in your life.

What we’re discussing in this episode is OVEREXTENDING yourself with more purchases than are really necessary AND simply spending for the sake of spending, even if that purchase doesn’t really serve you and your long-term goals.

So, stick around for this episode. I’ll help you identify areas where consumerism is hurting your long-term financial goals AND your ability to enjoy your money responsibly and give you some tools to take back control of that chunk of money.
