Welcome to our podcast, it's available on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher and lots of other places. What's it about? Well, it has three sections, food in Hong Kong (with a restaurant review), a bit of futurology (because why not) and pop culture (basically films Ben hasn't seen). Have a listen, comment, subscribe and follow us if you like it and tell your friends if you found it more than mildly distracting. Episode 11 - Red Lobster special; Ben discovers recycling; Difference between movie stars and actors

Episode 11 - Red Lobster special; Ben discovers recycling; Difference between movie stars and actors

Jason Derulooooo! This episode was recorded a while ago, mid pandemic, so the trip to Red Lobster was, at the time, a real treat, so enjoy our wonderment at being able to go to restaurants again which perhaps coloured our review a tad. Also, there's more future talk with Ben stumbling upon something called "re-cycling" and we end with increasingly inebriated chat about the difference between movie stars and actors.

Episode 10 - Korean pandemic delivery special; Man on the side of the bed; Tiger King talk

Episode 10 - Korean pandemic delivery special; Man on the side of the bed; Tiger King talk

Hot off the press from 2 weeks ago, is our first original material for a very long time, hence why its a little rusty but the essence remains the same and ill-informed. This episode we adapt to the pandemic and review take-away Korean food from Uncle Padak in Sai Ying Pun. We also talk about the holy trinity of the coronavirus, Tiger King and hugely endowed man sitting on a bed. Enjoy!

Episode 9 - Back With a Bang At the Worst Time in History

Episode 9 - Back With a Bang At the Worst Time in History

We're back! After a barnstorming debut season of 8 episodes, we hit podcasters block with our sophomore season, with the usual band infighting, dabbles with Eastern mysticism and just laziness. In the time we've been away, well, things have gone a bit wrong in Hong Kong and globally. Still, a tiny, very unimportant, upside to the hell we're living is a return to listening to food, future and film chat with 2 people wholly unqualified to talk about any of it!

Full disclosure: This episode is actually a leftover from last year but we have steaming fresh and piping hot pods on the way soon.

Dr. Dangerous MD ,

This is something!

Can’t stop listening to this and to be totally honest I cannot begin to explain why. It’s certainly not the charisma of the hosts or that the subject matter is compelling. Which is not to say that the hosts are not charismatic (they can be) or that the subject matter is not compelling (it often is), it’s just that there is something else going on here I can’t put my thumb on. I wonder if they’re toying with subliminal tones or something a la Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. Anyway, I highly recommend and have found this to be especially useful in helping me fall asleep in the morning. Funny, warm, engaging, with moments that are genuinely interesting. Makes me want to visit Hong Kong (bucket list!) as the hosts make it sound like a somehow more pleasant and entertaining, and even more futuristic San Diego — imagine!

A note about the hosts: I’ve become obsessed recently with the idea that these “two” are actually one person doing two distincnt (but lets be honest, fairly similar) voices. Has anyone else thought this? If so, we might have found this generation’s Johnathan Winters! The thought makes me laugh!

I’ve reached out to something called the Hong Kong Free Press with my theory and expect a response shortly and will follow up here.

Anyway, strongly recommend. Sometimes this world just seems too certain, everything ticking along disconcertingly as it should — No Jacket Required Potato is the perfect antidote!
