I was hoping the writing style from the last book wouldn’t be repeated in this one, but sadly it continued. Although I will say the jumping around between characters wasn’t quite as bad. For some reason it rubbed me the wrong way that this book focused a lot of Tress’ point of view. I liked Anna as the main character. Being combined with two other people is a weird concept and I was wondering how the author was going to accomplish this and I gotta say it’s kinda lame. I’d have been more pleased if Te and Tress still existed afterwards just all the magic was split and then pulled back to Anna, while the other two remained who they were just without the royal magic. The ending felt rushed as well. Like all of a sudden Tress knows what the corpuscle is(even though it’s only just been fully relieved to us as the reader moments ago, during the perspective of Fuller). Also now Tress’ mission includes stealing the corpuscle? and an owl swoops in to save the day?

Overall it’s a good story, unique and there’s a lot of thought out into it. But I just don’t like the writing style.
