Walk On By

No matter where you roam, there’s nothing like being with family and friends. A place where you know you can rely on to always welcome you with open arms. Such is the small town where Gabe grew up and has returned, licking his wounds. Kelly has lived in this wonderful small town and rekindles her friendship with Gabe. But oh there’s a love triangle and other drama mixed in. Gabe and Kelly cannot seem to see the forest for all the trees. Plus it takes quite a while for these two to finally get on the same path.

As much as I loved Finn in Ticket to Ride, I think perhaps Gabe surpassed him in my affections. Sarah Hegger writes incredible characters. Their deepest thoughts, visceral reactions, and earnest feelings are all painted in a way to make us see, feel, and relate to each and every one. You KNOW these people. You FEEL their chemistry. As long as Ms. Hegger continues to write, I’ll continue to buy her books. She has, without a doubt, become one of my all-time favorite authors. Buy this book—you won’t be sorry.
