Publisher Description

Don’t touch the nanny. It’s one rule I’m most certainly going to break.

Since becoming a single father, I have two things that keep me sane—my daughter Lily and playing football for the NFL. But when my meddling sister hires a nanny without my knowledge, I’m not thrilled to come home and find the woman has taken over my house. Our instant attraction is one more complication I don’t need in my life.

But my daughter loves Amelia, and I will do anything for that tiny munchkin. Even if it means walking around with blue balls most of the time. Why does the nanny have to be so sweet—and drop dead gorgeous? She’s driving me crazy. Never in my life have I wanted a woman more.

I just need to make it through this season. I can do that. Hands free, of course. But then there’s that moment, and I know she’s thinking what I’m thinking and, well, yeah. Screw the rules...

Nice

It was a nice read. I always enjoy POV stories. Never having to guess the thoughts and reasoning of the other character. I like that this wasn’t your typical love story... guy meets girl, guy and girl cant express themselves so they don’t speak up. These characters spoke their mind, even with hesitations lingering within them. They were easy to fall in love with. But at the same time it wasn’t worthy of all 5 stars. There were moments where I had my drawbacks from the story. I would still recommend to others to read though.

The Nanny Rules

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I don't normally read nanny stories as the first ones that I did seemed trite. This one was a wonderful story. I so got into this one. The story was so well done that it almost seemed like a movie was being played out in my mind. As much as I loved Amelia and Brody and their journey to their HEA, I really fell for his daughter, Lily. He called her Lily Pad. How adorable!

Amelia is running from her past. Her family were drug addicts and they lived on the questionable side of town. She feels people still look down on her as they did when she was growing up so she doesn't tell Brody anything of her past. Her best friend in college is Julia, Brody's sister. Julia hires Amelia to be Lily's nanny while Brody is out of town. Brody doesn't want a nanny. His wife betrayed him with a teammate of his and she was killed while in the car with him. Both have trust issues. Miscommunication is key here as well as their trust. Amelia thinks Brody will look down on her due to her family history. Brody is so afraid of getting hurt again.

This book was written in my favorite dual POV format. It really helped me to identify with both characters. I could so easily see where each character was coming from with getting that inside look into their thoughts. It is so easy to misunderstand someone's action but not their thoughts.

I highly recommend this story for someone over the age of 18.
