Your Security Space

Your Security Space (YSS) is a networking platform where security professionals can interact and discuss security issues without the distractions often found on other social networking platforms. YSS offers our members the opportunity to collaborate, with the goal of making the world a safer place.

Members

Members of YSS are registered users who by trade are security professionals, law enforcement officials, have served in the armed forces, or have security responsibilities within their portfolio.

Member Profiles

Members can customize and track the completion of their profile, allowing members to share details about themselves and enabling members to get to know each other better.

Member Connections

YSS encourages members to connect and focus on discussions they care about most. Members can connect with any member as long as the member accepts the connection request. When making a connection, we recommend that you send a short note introducing yourself and the reason for connecting.

Activity Feeds

Members have access to global, personal, and group activity feeds, with threaded commenting, direct posting, @mentions, and email notification support. The activity feeds allow members to view and receive updates from their recent activities and interactions.

Groups

YSS Groups allow members to organize themselves into Public or Private Groups with separate activity feeds, member listings, and group messaging.

Forum Discussion

Discussion forums allow Group members to engage in online discussions in a structured, bulletin-board style fashion.

Media

Members can upload photos, organize them into albums, and share them for other members to see and share comments.

Documents

Members can upload and share any file type on your activity feed and within groups using the Share a Document feature.

Email Invite – Invite Others

All you need to invite a non-member is their name and email address.

Zoom Meetings

Members with a Zoom account can schedule and host virtual meetings with Your Security Space with individual connections or members of a group.

Private Messaging

Members have the ability to private message individual connections or members of a group.

YSS Search Feature

Members can search topics of their choice in the unified search bar.

Notifications

Members can set push notifications for various events, such as when someone mentions them in the activity feed, another member sends them a connection request, and to receive information from YSS regarding new services and special events.

Security

YSS recommends that members use a strong password, enable Two-Factor Authentication or a third-party authenticator, and never share their password or sign-in information.

Block Members

User can block members from seeing you profile and activity.

Events

Members can submit security industry-related special events by completing the Add New Event Form. Once the form is submitted, it will be reviewed by the YSS before being posted on the event calendar.

Data Export

Members may download a copy of all data you have created on this platform.

Delete Account

If you choose to delete your account, just check the I understand the consequences box and click the Delete Account button. By deleting your account, all content you have created is deleted. It will be completely irrecoverable.

Submit A Blog Post

We encourage members to be active in conversation and to submit blog that might be of interest to fellow members. To submit an original non-copyrighted blog, click the Post A Blog icon, complete the required information and submit your blog to the Your Security Space for review and approval.

Real-time Website Syncing

Our mobile app provides real-time syncing between the app and Your Security Space platform.
