Great book
I loved reading this book
History at its best
This is a fantastic story based upon the Quarantine Station in Sydney. The description of life and love centred around Emma’s grandmother’s wanderings from the nursing home, where she lives with dementia, and the mystery of why she always ends up on the dock at the quarantine station. At the station Emma meets Matt who helps her get access to diaries which tell the life of the station. The twist at the end is great and not what you expect to happen. I really enjoyed this book.
Absolutely Stunning!
Stunning, captivating, breathtaking. This book, its descriptive surroundings and the characters all left me with goosebumps. There were many twists and turns, and just when I thought I had the storyline figured out, the author deftly changed direction again.
Michelle Montebello has done The Quarantine Station in Sydney justice with her beautiful storytelling and her representation of this fascinating place. I had to put the book down a few times to Google this place and there it was, exactly how she'd described it.
A full 5 stars from me. Outstanding!!
