Best friends to lovers is a risky game…
Pro hockey player Aaron Ferrar has shit luck with women. With one divorce, one psycho, and far too many one-night stands under his belt, he can’t seem to break his bad dating habits. He knows he’s not good enough for his sweet, sexy best friend, so he would never go there, but it’s getting harder and harder to resist her.
Veterinary assistant Sara Chandler has floundered since graduating from college. She left both academia and hockey behind, and now she’s a nanny for her best friend while working part-time at a local veterinary clinic until she gets into veterinarian school. She’s always been hot for her hockey-playing best friend, but she’s not in his league and she’s leaving Anchorage soon anyway.
When disaster strikes, Aaron doesn’t hesitate to jump in, but nothing is ever going to be the same for them. He doesn’t know how to help her and neither of them ever do things the easy way.

Saving Sara. Review by Christine Jalili
I loved this book and devoured it in hours. Aaron and Sara are very close, but who will make the first move? I felt for Sara as Aaron withdraws from her. But then he’s there for her as something happens, and I had a few laughs over Merlin. Didn’t expect to cry so hard, I definitely felt their heartbreak. Will Aaron get another chance? Thankfully there’s a very happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.
BFFs to Lovers
The whole story about what happened between Aaron and Sara comes out that was mentioned in Losing Laurel. I personally feel like I’ve been dying to know what exactly the situation was between Aaron and Sara since they first met. The two of them knew it was inevitable that they would end up together just neither could pull their heads out of their behind. I loved their story but I was a little disappointed in Aaron’s behavior at times which is why it lost a star for me. Hopefully we get a Mikka book next! He’s so adorable and it would be great to see how he tries to navigate the language barrier while finding the right girl.
