Shifters are out in the world and they threaten humans. Atlantis has risen and helps protect the innocent.
It’s Rhiannon and Lucas’ story.
The first third of this book is a mix of resolving the cliffhanger from the prior book and setting up this one. Jack and Savanna have a moment. They are from February’s book.
Some chapters start with timing and location elements that seem unnecessary. “Previously”, “earlier that night”, “fish market”. We already know they aren’t sitting around in a circle. But I guess it identifies for the reader the situation.
When it finally gets to focus on Rhi and Lucas, the story is strong and passionate. Both feel: “Never, ever trust anyone, ever again.” But they have instant chemistry and want to learn to trust each other. And more.
A bit of action, adventure, passion and heroism. In the end, Love. Because that’s what a romance is supposed to be.
