Not quite like other podcasts

I love this podcast. i am a Japanese person living in the US and i assume most of the audience is not from Japan. This podcast proves that more and more people are interested in Japan abroad and it is good to see. Unlike other news sources, they pick interesting news topics and are very entertaining. Keep up the good work!

Enjoyable deep dive of the news

I’ve been fascinated by Japan since my first visit there in 2008 but only the last year have I decided to take my interest to the next level and really *learn* about Japan. I am also learning Japanese. This podcasts gives me so much to work with. Not just current events, but cultural insights, unique phrases that I won’t find in my textbook, and personal stories about living in Japan that are invaluable. Love these guys!

All the way from Japan

Listened to the episode, “Abe’s Vacant Summer Vacation” Great Jazzy intro! Julian and Yasu, you both have great podcasting voices. This podcast has a very professional feel but is also carefree. Love the humour then and there.

The episode is packed with intriguing stories from Japan. The more I hear, the more I want to move to Japan. Quite surprised with the influence and power of the Governor of Tokyo. On another note, I would never complain about way too much food. If I did, I would have been a “Dai shippai”. I agree that most people see social media as an easy fix to all their problems. Love the new initiative of charging people for plastic bags.

The podcast is super informative. I love how you both look at the stories from a different perspective. I learned a few Japanese words, as well. Thank you for publishing great content. Recommend this to anyone who enjoys listening to varying views on the news and society.
