Play Saves the Day | Author Steve Rix

Play Saves the Day | Author Steve Rix

A state of play exists for all of us, if we'll give ourselves the chance to embrace it and enjoy its rejuvinating effects.

When I met Hawaii based author, Steve Rix, I knew he had access to something I hadn't felt in a long time. What was it? What was he smiling from ear to ear at virtually every thing I said? Was he merely a master salesman? Was I being taken for a ride?

The answer is a clear no and this conversation, however random at times, proves that Steve believes in his concepts and a life time of play, at all costs. Play is the ground breaking experience and it's right in front of us, waiting for us to take the reigns. To overcome, once and for all, that which holds our faces to the floor.

This is my conversation with a clever and lovely man, author Steve Rix, and this is a reminder that play means so much more than we give it credit for. Play Saves the Day on Rockstar Superhero.

Linebacker to Lifehacker with Lofa Tatupu | ZoneInCBD | Seattle Seahawks

Linebacker to Lifehacker with Lofa Tatupu | ZoneInCBD | Seattle Seahawks

I've been a Seahawks fan since I was a little boy. I admit I'm a fair weather fan, but I still know great football when I see it.

My father said that my guest today was the most committed player of his generation, at least on the Seahawks, and I'd have to say that he was probably spot on.

Lofa Tatupu is a man of standards, work ethic, and drive. As it goes, life after the NFL can hit all sorts of snags, but Lofa walked towards opportunity and away from his fears.

Lofa founded ZoneInCBD in 2018, and through this company, is serving the people in a different way, and through a different product than he ever imagined. Through continuous growth and effort, Lofa found his purpose, and his influence can be felt throughout the industry.

He's a tactical businessman, and coupled with his smile and intelligence, is bringing change to a community that has been maligned and stigmatized for 80+ years.

    No more.

This is 3 time Pro Bowl linebacker, Lofa Tatupu, of your Seattle Seahawks, and this is Rockstar Superhero.

Don't Be Afraid to Succeed | Dean Van Dyke

Don't Be Afraid to Succeed | Dean Van Dyke

I met Dean Van Dyke a few years back when I was reconnecting with a lot of Seattle area business leaders after spending some time overseas. A number of my friends had moved away while I was away and well... since I am definitely THAT GUY who needs to feel loved, I sought out new relationships at a few networking events.

A friend of a friend knew Dean and had recommended we meet and get to know each other. After that initial meeting, I felt a special kinship with Dean and we immediately forged what I believe will be a life long friendship.

Along the way, Dean has served me in ways I hadn't expected nor asked for, but he has always been there. As the saying goes "if you want to be better, serve others, and better follows" or... something like that.

It's my hope that you enjoy our frank and intimate conversation on the show today and I believe you'll see why Dean is someone you would want to know and probably honestly really need in your life.

Check out this great chat with my buddy, the man who empowers and leads by selfless example...Dean Van Dyke, on the Rockstar Radicals Podcast.

At The Speed of Life | Ed Rush

At The Speed of Life | Ed Rush

Ed Rush is a decorated Marine Corps F 18 Pilot. At the height of his career, he was the number one instructor in the Marine Corps for one against one dogfighting and was instrumental in the training development for the new F 35 Lightning. Ed has flown over 2000 (!) tactical aircraft hours, and was awarded an Air Medal, for God's sake. ...and this is my friend!

What an incredible man. Ed is a five time best selling author, he's internationally recognized as a speaker, he's an advisor to elite businesses all over the world. Ed is extraordinary.

Because of our limited time, and Ed's schedule (he's a busy guy!), we really weren't able to dive deep into his family history, but I suspect Ed was raised with extraordinary morals, ethics, and a belief that mankind deserves more. There is a lot ticking inside of this man, so let's just jump right into the thick of it.

This is my interview with one of my favorite superheroes, Ed Rush, on the Rockstar Radicals Podcast.

1:40 Ed Rush is just the best and dare I say future media mogul
    3:00 Ed's big crazy goals
4:40 Influential DC folk believe it's impossible
6:35 Making sure laws are in order
7:55 Falling in love with Ed's book, the 21 Day Miracle
    9:15 Military experiences and triggers
10:30 The kids at home and why we do it
11:55 Navy Flight Training is no joke
13:00 The flow of the entrepreneur's life
15:00 Flip off the phone and turn off social media
    17:00 Military inspections and trust
    18:50 How to be trusted
20:45 Don't say done unless it is
    21:55 Discontentment leads to apathy
23:10 Use gratitude to feed improvement
    24:20 Making microcorrections in life
26:30 Ed's site and offer to our people

Death Brings Life | Rodney Shurelds

Death Brings Life | Rodney Shurelds

I met Rodney Shurelds in a tough season in my life. That season had a complex emotional bent for reasons you'll discover on this podcast.

Rodney was the normal American male. Living in central Texas with his family, Rodney received a terrifying medical diagnosis that didn't just change his life, but many around him. In the following year, Rodney stepped closer to death and lost so much of what made him typically human. As time went by, things seemed to accelerate, and Rodney was placed on a donor receipt list just in case a miracle happened.

In January of 2020, a miracle did indeed happen. The problem is another family had to lose a loved one for Rodney to live.

....and this is where our story begins. Please join us for this emotional and frank conversation as we break down what it means to be receive life from another, the survivor guilt that comes with it, and the power of redemption through the family that lost their son so Rodney might live.

Sayaka Tsubaki ,

It’s better now

I enjoyed the show before but now I really love it. It’s changed quite a bit and it features more how to and helpful solutions. I hope they get more famous guests though.
