Publisher Description

From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Horribly Sunny Mystery, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant.

NOBODY MESSES WITH HIS LIBRARIAN. . .

Who killed Michael Vanderhorst’s maker? It’s a darn good question. But when the trail brings Michael to hellishly sunny Phoenix, Arizona, his biggest problem soon becomes a cute little librarian he can’t seem to stay away from. He’s never met a bigger danger magnet! Even her book cart has it out for her. And is that the drug cartel following her around, too? “Dear God, woman! What have you gotten yourself into?”

Things go from bad to worse when local vampires won’t play nice.

Can this four-hundred-year-old vampire keep his librarian safe and himself out of hot water? Can he bring his maker’s killer to justice? Yesterday, he would’ve said yes. But yesterday, he didn’t have a strange connection with a librarian. Yesterday, people weren’t trying to kill her.

Great book

I loved this book. It had a lot of twists and turns. Very intriguing characters. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Starts off strong, gets progressively worse

I've listened to all six audiobooks in the series. The story of Michael and Miriam starts off with intrigue, you're totally rooting for them. By the 4th book I think the twists and surprises start getting a little stale. It's hard to give a really good review without posting spoilers but Book 5 is pure ridiculousness. Even for a vampire romance novel. The good news is, I think the authors recognize that so read it for what it is. Book 6 is not a necessary read (the main story is finished in Book 5). Those who come to like the "Mr. Nice" character would enjoy Book 6 since he's the main protagonist. I did not care for the character so I listened to the story to understand what else happens to Michael and Miriam however not much other than what would be obvious after finishing Book 5.

Great unexpected fine

Ver unexpected for a Vampire themed book.. very entertaining and lots of laughs with the slight undertones of humor used in “stressful” situations.
