Publisher Description
Prudence Carlson considers herself fortunate. Not only does she run a fulfilling wedding-planning business with her girlfriends in Colorado, she also has her firefighter bestie, Finn. In fact, the only thing that’s been missing from Pru’s life is a baby of her own. Fortunately, it’s the twenty-first century—and Pru can take matters into her own hands. She doesn’t need to find the perfect guy to create the life she wants.
What Pru is not expecting is that all this talk of babies and donors leads to Pru and Finn crossing the one line they weren’t supposed to cross. Ever… But they’re the best of friends. How could one sizzling night change their close relationship?
Then the unthinkable happens. Now Pru’s pregnant…with Finn’s baby. They’ve already survived college, new jobs, and bad breakups—how hard can it be to manage crib shopping, birth classes, and late-night cravings? But while it’s one thing to navigate pregnancy with a husband, it’s an entirely different matter when it’s your best friend…especially when he’s never, ever seen himself as daddy material.

See AllSweet and Steamy Friends To Lovers Read
Author Beth Ankenman delivers nicely with her new release, THE BEST FRIEND PROBLEM. Lighthearted, humorous, and sexy, with plenty of sweet and tender moments mixed in, this book was a delight to read, and a good take on the friends-to-lovers trope.
Pru and Finn know each other so well and are so comfortable with each other that it's an almost easy step over the 'friends only' line, and the affection and growing feelings that they develop for each other as events unfold make for the perfect segue to an HEA. The fact that both characters are likable, intelligent, and actual adults with real adult lives made this book even more enjoyable, and, if events are prettier than they might be in real life, well, this is a romance, after all.
A strong cast of supporting characters, a cute as a button fur baby, and an entertaining and heartwarming storyline made this book a pleasure to read, and one that is an easy recommendation to fans of sweet and steamy romances with an ending that will ensure a smile.

The Best Friend Problem
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a delightfully, charming story. I was laughing so hard at times that I received some looks from the hubby. The rapport between between Finn and Pru was one that made the story so fascinating. This story just grabbed me right from the beginning and kept me engage all the way through to the end.
Pru wants to have a baby. She is a planner and has planned everything out to have her baby. Unfortunately the plan goes awry when she celebrates with her BFF Finn. Both had too much to drink (not drunk but pleasantly happy). Well one thing leads to another and several weeks later oops Pru's plans change when she finds out that she is already pregnant. Pregnant by her firefighter BFF who doesn't do relationships and never wants a family. He hates the thought of getting killed and leaving a wife and children behind.
The HEA journey for these two is one that is oh so believeable. How they go from friends to soul-mates is one that shouldn't be missed. Having the book written in a dual POV format makes this journey oh so lovable. I could really see the story taking place in my mind like a movie.
I highly recommend this story to anyone over 18. I look forward to reading more from this new to me author.
