Publisher Description
The core group of friends who found their happy endings are back, still loving hockey almost as much as their women. Now, four years later, the Eagles find themselves in the finals, with home ice advantage and on the cusp of winning the Stanley Cup once again.
It all started with a second chance, for Becca to just say yes to forever.
And is Kinley still living the dream after scoring the player?
What does life have in store for Madison and Richard, now that they decided playing for keeps is much more satisfying than friends with benefits.
When Mark vowed to Laura he would protect her heart, he meant it from the very beginning. He was all-in, forever, no matter what.
Reese and Austin's chance meeting turned their worlds upside down in a single instant. Hot and heavy against the boards had their chemistry melting the ice.
Along with retirements, new positions, and additions to not only the team, but each of the families, come meet some new players who will lead us out of the First Intermission and into the second period.

Hockey, babies and forever friends.
The Indianapolis Eagles Series is one of my favorites and I always wondered what the future held for the fun couples. Samantha Lind has answered my question with her latest book “The First Intermission”, which takes place four years after the last installment. Time has passed, their lives are different but the love between the couples has grown stronger and their friendships are everlasting. Becca and Scott are still very much in love and she needs to support him as he makes an important decision that will change their lives forever. Their son Michael is five, and is about to enter kindergarten. Of course he already plays hockey, loves to swim with his Dad and helps Becca around the house. Kinley and Brian have a four year old daughter Hadley, who is the apple of her father’s eye. He is content with his girls but Kinley is still determined to do whatever she can to get pregnant. She feels discouraged but Brian is always there for her with a big hug and unconditional love. It took a long time for Madison and Richard to get together and sometimes he regrets not telling her sooner how he felt. He is also making a big decision about his future and so is Madison, and they need to work as a team to prepare for a busy time in their lives. Laura and Mark are such a romantic couple and he will always remember when she finally agreed to go on a date with him, because it was a dream come true. Her zest for life and beautiful smile make him always want to hold her close and keep her safe. Hockey brought them together but being a family is the best part of his life. Reese and Austin definitely make beautiful music together and he knew when he met her that she was the one for him. Having two busy careers isn’t easy but they always make time to be together. Reese may need to rearrange her tour schedule and find room on her tour bus for a new addition. We also meet the Goalie coach for the Eagles, Matt and his wife, Bridget. Their daughter Julia is a Physical Therapist who treats Beckett, the new goalie for the team. Sparks fly between the young couple and I can’t wait to see if dating the coach’s daughter is really a good idea. Their story “The Hardest Shot”, will be coming out this Fall.
