Publisher Description
Once upon a time I made a deal with the devil.
It turns out I like playing in the dark. Over the years, I’ve become someone I’m proud of, someone dangerous.
I’ll never be as dangerous as Malone, though. She’s one of the most feared leaders in Carver City, and her reputation is more than earned. Years ago, we had a single night together and she’s ignored me ever since.
Imagine my surprise to discover she’s scheduled me for the final two weeks of my contract. Maybe I should be afraid. Everyone else fears Malone. Instead, all I feel is anticipation. It’s time to balance the scales, once and for all.
The villains aren’t the only ones in Carver City a person should be wary of crossing.
Sometimes the prettiest flower hides the deadliest poison…

Amazing Read
I’m not one to not be able to put a book down but this one was written so well and had so many twist and turns that I couldn’t put it down!!!
Just okay
I was not overly impressed with this Wicked Villains book. But it wasn’t horrible just not at all what I had hoped for the final book in this series. I didn’t really ever getting hooked to it but I am a completionist and wouldn’t ever flat out skip a book in a series that I am obsessed with reading all of since the first couple were so good. I think that the author simply has too many irons in the fire and in trying to write a storyline for every sexual preference she is essentially not really appealing to most of us. I know she is writing like 18 books at once so I think the spice level is has gotten tamer with each book since book 3. But that’s just my opinion. I couldn’t write a book that people would be obsessed with so I don’t want to bash or write a horrible review. But this book and the last neither did it for me. My husband is highly disappointed as he is always hoping that spicy books will be working to his favor. 🤣
Fitting End To The “Wicked Villains” Series
Aurora and Malone have been circling one another throughout the “Wicked Villains” series, so it seems fitting that their tale is the last to be told. And boy does Katee Roberts tell it! I have been devouring the “Wicked Villain” series and, while I’m sorry to see it end, I was thrilled to finally get Aurora and Malone’s story. Malone has always seemed so cold and calculating, but with a suspected heat underneath, and with an undeniable power. Aurora, on the other hand, seemed a bit innocent in the beginning, but quickly showed she was willing to throw herself into the fire for her friends and I loved that passion. Watching these two women fight for their happy-ever-after was everything I hoped it would be. Many reviewers will probably mention the off-the-charts heat of the love scenes, but for me what really brings the fire are the emotions that Katee Roberts imbues in her characters. Her stories grab me with their intense emotion and I find myself totally invested in the characters. “Queen Takes Rose” was no exception. I highly recommend this book, the entire series, in fact, and cannot wait for the upcoming “Sabine Valley” series.
