Enjoyable!
It was fun and thoroughly enjoyable.
A nice love story without vampires, shifters or ghosts...
This book is sweet and it’s all about the two main characters. The guy, Waylon, is a (kinda cranky) young sheriff . The girl (Spring) is a flighty, happy-go-lucky woman that immediately entrances the young sheriff. He isn’t sure if he’d rather toss her out of town or ... 😘
She decides to work for the sheriff because she needs money to fix her car. He never hired her and/or asked her to apply for a job as his assistant. And she decides to ignore him when he flat out tells her to get lost. “I am NOT hiring you!”
The setting is a blink along the highway (Bliss, Texas). The small town falls in love with the extraordinarily kind and giving Spring. Much to the sheriff’s chagrin. He cannot get rid of her regardless of the number of times that he tells her, “I don’t want you working for me!”
Eventually, they both admit to their mutual attraction and bada-bing, bada-bang the sparks begin to fly. Like I stated previously this is a character driven love story. I recommend it to those of you that need a boost.
