Description

AccessAble is here to take the chance out of going out. To give you the detailed information you need to work out if a place is going to be accessible to you.

We have over 75,000 Detailed Access Guides that tell you all about a venue’s access. They are 100% facts, figures and photographs.

Everyone’s accessibility needs are different, which is why having detailed, accurate information is so important. It’s why we send our trained surveyors to check out every single place in person and why the information we collect has all been decided by our user community.

Whether you are looking to check a fact, or explore an area use our App to find the accessibility information you need.

* Search around you or for a specific town or city
* Use our Accessibility Symbols to filter results and find places that suit you
* Drill down to the detail
* Check out photographs
* Save guides for later

We are working to grow our coverage all the time but need to demonstrate the need for our information. If you find a place you are looking for is not covered on the App please contact us. By letting us know what you want you can really make a difference.

A great tool for disabled people to plan journeys

I believe this app is a great tool for all disabled people. It gives clear and simple information on what accessibility features are or are not available in a particular place.

After trying out the app, I would suggest having maps of the venue and a GPS system included. Although the app does have the names of streets and particular entrances and areas of a venue (e.g Porchester Square), it isn’t always clear where that is within the location. This is particularly difficult for those with sight loss, like myself, who cannot read a regular size map or view signs within the venue.

Just what we needed!

First of all I would like to say a huge thank you for all the work that has gone into creating the Accessable app, it has been particularly useful when we have been out and about in helping to locate Changing places bathrooms for my son and meant that we are able to longer enjoy days out as a family without constantly worrying about changing facilities.
I came across your site after a particularly difficult holiday last year when lack of access had a major impact on our holiday. Whilst I was there I thought of setting up something exactly like you have to make life easier as I am convinced it shouldn't always have to be such a challenge. Anyway, luckily for me and many others Accessable has already done all the work in the UK so I will be sharing your resource with others in the various groups I am involved in.
The app covers a wide range of access needs but if your particular need isn’t covered the developers seem keen to ensure it is covered in the future.

Great App with info you can trust

Fantastic level of detail, photos and measurements. Clearly lots of investment in sending people to check out each place. Great there’s no self assessment as too often people forget about that ‘small step’.

Perfect if like us you need to know specific information about accessible toilets, entrances etc before going somewhere for the first time.

My local area of Lincolnshire has patchy coverage but hopefully local places will want to partner with AccessAble if we show them the difference this info can make.

Developer Response ,

We're so glad the app has made a difference to you, thank you for the great review. Local support is exactly what we need!
