A great find!

I thought this was a great find. The stories are exactly what they’re advertised to be: steamy, quick, and fun fantasy.

They’re not deep -- that’s not the point -- but I like the writing. I wish my doctors were half as sexy as Luka and Hunter!

as an introduction to erotica of the softer variety, this collection works.

A three story anthology, all having a central common theme of medical professionals, but each story has its own twist and set up before the adult-themed playing doctor games begin.
The Intern, is an older woman – younger man story. She is devastated and reeling from a divorce, and his attentions boost her confidence and ego, and reawaken her sexuality.
My Doctor, My Husband and Me is a fantasy come to life menagé story where Valerie gets her nerve up and finds willing participants.

Lastly is Seize the Doctor, where new love is offered to a young woman after her last boyfriend was unfaithful, if only she can reach out to accept what this doctor is ordering.
As a collection, these three stories worked well together, although some did work better than others in terms of character and plot development. Short stories are tricky – each word needs to count for three or four, and there isn’t time to methodically develop characters.

In The Intern, my least favorite, the characters felt flat and Lauren, in particular, felt very ‘teen’ in attitude and approach. It made her quite difficult to reconcile with her character of ‘older woman’ and the whole story just didn’t work for me.

Valerie’s tale in My Doctor, My Husband and Me presented characters that already had some solidity to them, and the blurring of the professional lines only added to the heat levels in this story. A straight M-F –M where it most certainly was pay attention to Valerie time for the encounter, the read was steamy and left an impression that it may not be just a one-off fantasy fulfillment.
Lastly, Nikki is in for her yearly exam when who should be the doctor but the hot guy from the club she met earlier? Seize the Doctor has some clever interactions with the very discombobulated Nikki as she struggles with the embarrassment. She’s still reeling from her ex being unfaithful, but the hot doc may just be the cure for what ails her.

Overall these weren’t bad, they just weren’t super steamy, leaning more to the ‘romantic’ side of things, without much window dressing. I am not a fan of purple prose, but some poetic license with the language and word choices: erotica isn’t always the place for anatomically correct verbiage. There were moments that needed to be tightened up, and the characters could have used a more solid sense of self from the beginning, but as an introduction to erotica of the softer variety, this collection works.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
