Dark and Edgy, My New Obsession
OMG, I love this story. One, because when you see the cover and the title, you immediately want to know what the heck this book is about. Second, it's written really well and the author knows how to capture the attention of the listener/reader. Although the main characters are teens, the story takes me back to high school and all its drama and issues I had with family and bullying. Third, I'm a fan of dark and this story has it.
If you are/were a fan of Dexter, Heathers, Jawbreaker or Pretty Little Liars, then you'll love this twisted tale about a girl who wanted to give up on life, but found out that she had a better way to cope...
Michelle Sparks did such a great job with the characters. She really tapped into the emotions of Cozy and I could hear pain, grief, sarcasm, and that teenage spirit I recognize. I can't wait to hear the rest of the series.
