Rich McCready works in influences from Eric Clapton to Keith Whitley (he covers both), but sticks mostly to country and swing styles. Signed to Magnatone in 1995, his self-titled first album, released the following February, gained him a modest hit with "Hangin' On." His second album for the label appeared in early 1997. ~ John Bush
