#brunchtalk: How Do You Deal With Judgemental Friends or Family When Dating?

Nothing is worse than having judgemental friends or family who pick apart every last person you date. In this week's brunch talk, we're discussing how to deal when the people closest to you think the person you're dating isn't "good enough." We're discuss where this type of feedback may come from, why it's important to know what's useful information versus superficial reasons that should be tuned out, and how you can talk your friends and family in a way that asserts your point of view – and stands up for the person you're dating.

#brunchtalk: How Do You Have Difficult Conversations When You're Anxious And They're Avoidant?

Difficult conversations are difficult for a reason – but even more when you're hyper-communicative and your partner is well...not. We're discussing how to having challenging conversations especially when it comes to the momentum of your relationship when one person may be more avoidant and slower paced than the other. We're discussing it all from how to broach these convos without smothering the other person, ways you can advocate for yourself while still listening to your partners perspective, and why it's pivotal that you both get more vulnerable and out of this anxious-avoidant trap.

S18E6: Can AI Save Dating Apps? w/ Ben Chiang

No, we're not talking about ChatGPT or tools that write your profile or texts (or even worse, create fake photos!). We're talking about how AI can actually revolutionize dating apps in the way Tinder did in 2012 (over a decade ago!) Join us as we chat with Ben, the founder of Volar dating, about how they're using AI to cut through the BS of dating apps and make them more efficient. We get it: AI is scary. Before talking to Ben, we weren't 100% onboard either. But now, all we can see are the possibilities. So if you're sick of dating apps as they are, you don't want to miss this episode!

#brunchtalk: How Do You Step Into Your Feminine Energy (Or Is That Total BS)?

#brunchtalk: How Do You Step Into Your Feminine Energy (Or Is That Total BS)?

If you identify as a woman (or date women!), you've probably heard about why 'feminine energy' is so important to attract a mate. But it's 2024 people, and we're discussing why this is actually quite problematic even though it feels innocent enough. So buckle up as we chat about why this advice is simply outdated, how to embrace a natural style for you that still gives off an interested vibe, and ways we can all start dating in a way that doesn't feel as performative.

Helpful advice

I’m a fairly new listener and enjoy your podcast. I would love to hear more about dating from the perspective of people are of a different generation than you. For example, some of us who dated before digital dating find the new way to date unnatural. It feels like an interview process. I personally struggle with the speed at which men want to move to sex and how to make this progression easier and more natural

Rachsess ,

Love these girls!

I am in a relationship, but have found that I can relate to most topics. Honestly the episodes are to short with way too many adds. It’s really hard to listen when you have to stop what your doing & constantly fast forward through the adds. Besides all that, I find most of the topics very relatable, or at least entertaining. It’s time to start doing tours girls! They need to fill us in more on what happens in their lives & also have their partners on the pod! SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH JULIE HOW TO SAY EXACTLY! This is literally one of the most annoying things I’ve ever heard.

tlv2pdx ,

Down to earth and practical advice.

I get so much from the podcast. It gives me hope. 💘
