Publisher Description
Texas is getting hot for the holidays! Get ready for the Christmas cowboy romance LORI WILDE calls "full of clever humor, heart, and heat."
When Jinx Jacobs's motorcycle breaks down outside Holiday, Texas, the last thing she wants is to get stuck in the cheery little town, especially during the holidays. The whole place has gone Christmas crazy, but all she has to do is stay out from under the mistletoe—and do her best to keep that unnervingly charming cowboy off her back.
Single dad and sheriff's deputy Cash Walker doesn't have time for romance, and yet something about the tempting loner twists his stomach up tighter than a tangle of tinsel. He may have finally found the missing piece in his life…but with Jinx so determined to avoid putting down roots, convincing her to stay may just take a Christmas miracle.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Holiday, Tex., the locale for this uneven contemporary, is full of holiday cheer, kindly characters, and charm, none of which Joy "Jinx" Jacobs was looking for when she set off to ride her motorcycle from California to New Orleans. But when the bike breaks down, she's stranded in aggressively quaint Holiday. Deputy Cash Walker has his hands full with his seven-year-old daughter, Kenzie. The last thing he needs is for his precocious child to become enamored of the teal-haired, tattooed, pierced Jinx because then he'd have to admit his own attraction to the outrageous biker. When Jinx finds she's mistakenly taken valuable gift cards from her drug-dealing ex-boyfriend and former boss, she decides to use the goods for good, which lands her in hot water that she'll need Cash to get her out of. Cash and Jinx are an unlikely pair, but their connection works. However, readers may need a dose of strong eggnog to get them through the slow start.

Oh so happy in Holiday, Texas
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I just loved this book. This is the first book from Ms. Crush that I have read. I will definitely have to start at the beginning of this series. The Walker family is just wonderful. They truly are a family that you would want to have by your side in a crisis.
This story is about Cash Walker and Jinx Jacob (and Kenzie, Cash's little girl.) They HEA is a totally wonderful experience to read. There are so many places in this book where I laughed so hard that I would have to explain it to the hubby as he thought I was laughing about him. Especially the part with the snake! No more details here. Sorry.
This book is written in a dual POV. That helps me as a reader to understand the character's actions. Reading about Jinx's history really made me so happy to have a loving family. Her reactions to some situations didn't seem right until her history is explained. Jinx is a wonderful character. She SO DESERVES a HEA and Ms. Crush really delivered with Cash. Yes, Cash is the ultimate hero and so drool-worthy.
This story had me captivated right from the beginning. I so wanted to move to Holiday, Texas. I highly recommend this story to anyone. But be prepared for tears from laughing and the way Ms. Crush delivered the ending.
