Now Hear This Entertainment features interviews with guests who are having success in the entertainment business, with the content presented in a way that not only entertains fans of that guest and fans of good music interviews in general, but in a manner that educates musicians, singers, songwriters – entertainers who want to learn from those who are being interviewed each week by Bruce Wawrzyniak, president of Now Hear This, Inc.     Singer, songwriter, guitar player who just released a new single less than two weeks ago after having put out another in early February. His music has charted in over 50 countries on iTunes, and he earned a spot at number 13 on SiriusXM’s The Pulse weekly countdown. His songs have spent 20 weeks in the Top 40 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart. He has also had major brand placements with the likes of Ralph Lauren, Busch Gardens, and DraftKings. His top five songs on Spotify alone have achieved a combined total of more than 2.1 million streams and along the way he saw a 112% boost in Shazams. Based in Nashville, he just performed at South By Southwest last month and has even been featured in People Magazine and Rolling Stone India.

    Recording artist and country singer-songwriter who released an album last August that premiered at #10 on Apple iTunes Top 40 Country Albums Chart and was hailed by FOX News, Billboard, People Magazine, Forbes, Men’s Journal, and more. He is doing a nationwide tour this year with dates every month through and including November. He is also working on new music with some very notable names in songwriting. He has over a million streams on his top five songs on Spotify, where he has approximately 21 thousand monthly listeners, and his official YouTube channel has a combined total of eight-and-a-half million video views.

    Award-winning singer, songwriter, DJ, producer, and label owner who has had two Billboard #1 singles. She has received three GRAMMY nominations and has collected awards from the prestigious International Dance Music Awards, the International Songwriting Competition, and topped Billboard’s “Most Played Dance Songs of the Decade” chart (2000-2010). Her tours have touched the shores of six continents with landmark shows at international events such as the Beijing Summer Olympics. Last month she released a track that features a collab with Jerome Isma-Ae and on Spotify alone she not only has approximately 487 thousand monthly listeners, but more than 48.6 million streams on her top five songs alone. Plus, her official YouTube channel has a combined almost 4.5 million video views.

    An award-winning singer, songwriter, fingerstyle guitar player. In 2017 she earned International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship honors and since then has been on stages with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Christopher Cross, and numerous other notable names in music. She has been featured in Guitar Player magazine, Acoustic Guitar magazine, and among Guitar World magazine’s “Best Acoustic Guitarists in the World Right Now” in 2021. She is also a two-time finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition and was featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s virtual program streaming from Los Angeles. Her official YouTube channel has an amazing 1.7 million combined video views. This interview was recorded on-location at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, where she was chosen to perform.

    NHTE 577 Lola Kristine

    Southern California-based singer, songwriter, and piano player who had a big year with releases in 2024, putting out an album last May, five singles, a Christmas song, and was featured on songs released by two other artists. She has worked with GRAMMY-award winning producers and artists, and one of the songs from her album last year was placed on an episode of Children Ruin Everything on the CW network. Additionally, she had a song selected as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, plus, she has gained recognition from legendary rockers such as Mick Fleetwood and Steven Tyler. In 2022, a live video of her performing went viral on TikTok, hitting 4.5M views and boosting her online presence.

    NHTE 576 Ashtyn Barbaree

    Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who released a new album this past October. Her live performances have been featured on National Public Radio, TEDx, and Zillow, and she has toured extensively throughout Europe. She was nominated for 2024 Acoustic Act of the Year and 2023 Americana Artist of the Year at the Arkansas Country Music Awards. She has also made her mark on regional TV and radio platforms. She is going back across the pond next month to do shows in London, the Netherlands, and Ireland. This interview was recorded live, on-location last month at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, where she was performing.

    A folk duo that put out a ten-song album that was released last May and has a new single coming out next month. They have been reviewed by Parade Magazine and performed on international stages in addition to having earned first place at the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest and second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards, among other accolades. Amidst their rigorous tour schedule, the duo founded Portland’s Folk Festival. Their top five songs on Spotify have gotten more than 1.3 million streams on that platform alone. This interview was recorded live on-location in Anaheim, California, where they were performing at the NAMM Show.

    NHTE 574 Jann Klose

    An award-winning pop singer-songwriter, who has released seven albums and two EPs. Singles from his most recent album Surrender (2023) have accumulated over five million streams across all platforms and charted on Top 40 radio in both the U.S. and South Africa. He has new singles that will probably come out this spring. He has performed as an actor and singer in touring companies of Broadway musicals as well as in made-for-TV movies, voice overs and commercials. He has opened for and collaborated with a wide range of artists including Pat Benatar, John Oates, Rosanne Cash, Les Paul, and many more. This interview was recorded live, on-location in Anaheim, California, at the NAMM Show.
