Author Jon Finkel interviewed a couple hundred people in order to write his new book, “Macho Man: Dig It! The Untamed, Unbelievable Life of Randy Savage.” And of course that included Randy’s brother, Lanny Poffo! Jon recounts how he tracked down Lanny, the first conversation they had, and subsequent hours they spent speaking about Randy before Lanny’s passing in February of 2023. Jon has stories about Randy’s childhood, his journey to become a professional baseball player, the circumstances that led to the launch of his pro wrestling career, and what it was like for Randy and Lanny to work and train under their pro wrestler father, Angelo Poffo as part of the family’s ICW promotion.
