Somewhat useful but disorganized

Just installed. Has lots of items, but they are organized somewhat illogically and haphazardly. For example, If you browse through the “meat” category, there no “chicken” subcategory. There are plenty of subcategories for many different kinds of frozen chicken, but there’s no subcategory for fresh chicken. Why doesn’t the meat category divide into subcategories for the different kinds of animal, then sub-subcategories for fresh and frozen (or vice versa)?

Also, I would like to see the different varieties of fresh food compared. For example, that tangerines have more pesticides than oranges. Or that chicken is more environmentally friendly than beef. Or that one variety of apple is healthier than another. And it would be nice to have direct access to the dirty dozen, which is the entry point for many people to EWG’s work.

Fantastic app, make better informed decisions

I use this app frequently. I’ve been using it to inform myself as much as possible about seed, oils, and the dangers from various seed oils. For those of you who are familiar with the Hateful 8 oils, this could be useful for you. It is also great for avoiding heavily processed foods, as I do now and try to only eat, minimally processed, or whole foods. And finally, I use it to try to detoxify my life as much as possible by making informed decisions about the cleaning products I purchase and personal care products use. If there is one category, I would like them to add it would be supplements( vitamins) because not all supplement and vitamin brands are equal, those owned by large pharmaceutical companies are less trustworthy. I can’t quite give it five stars because there seems to be an issue with the submissions, the submission date shows the current date you are looking at them. Also not all the submissions I’ve made seem to be on the list or they’ve since added them to the data base and have removed them? I am unsure if their process. But it is a great feature, allowing its members to submit products for review, still needs a little bit of work. Still needs more products added to their database, considering all that is out there it is very limited.

Feedback for AMAZING org!

I LOVE EWG, I’ve been using skin deep for years and have donated to their work when I can. So grateful for them!

One bit of feedback I hope they will apply; I’ve been looking for clean beauty products lately and I think I have a way to greatly improve the “ewg verified” function.

PLEASE; instead of just a list of products in a category, for instance, lipstick, please make a list of COMPANIES. I know that not all products from a company will be verified and that’s why the products are just thrown into a list. For instance, there are some Fenty lipsticks on the list spread out randomly, but maybe not ALL fenty lipsticks meet the standard or have been verified. But I had to go through pages and pages just to get out of the first three companies.

If the companies were in a list, and then maybe they could have a drop down function or click to link to the specific products that are verified, that would be SO nice. For instance, Honest beauty had most of the products on the first few pages, but I’ve already tried their products and am looking for a new go to company. Several pages in, I found an interesting company called Gabriel, and another called Flower. I’d like to see all the companies that have verified items in a list.

Thank you so much! I hope this change is possible! You guys rock and I will continue to support how I can!
