This book is aptly named, because what happens in this book is totally unexpected. It picked up right where Blindsided left off. Levi and Paige with their newly confessed love for each other, trying so hard to make their long distance love work. Levi is travelling back and forth from Tennessee to Florida to train Katie, the new up and coming women’s MMA fighter.
There were so many times I was yelling at them both to wake up and open their dang eyes. TC takes them on such an emotional rollercoaster, that you can’t help but be caught up in the middle of it with them. They both know they have a love worth fighting for, then the unexpected happens. I had a WTAF moment!
You must read Blindsided before reading Unexpected. If you love MMA/fighter books, then you will love this series by TC Matson.

UNEXPECTED, Book 2 of TC Matson's "The Fighter Series" begins where BLINDSIDED ended....Levi has been hired to train a new, young up and coming female fighter and must move to Florida, and leaving Paige home alone (only because she's too stubborn/scared/proud (take your pick) to put her faith in Levi, their love and their relationship) to stay and continue to work to "pay her own way," therefore, putting Levi and Paige in a long distance relationship where her imagination and insecurities are alive and well.....We all know how well those work relationships work out.....I have to throw in here, this book is so HOT!!!! ❤️🌼🔥
Between Levi's hot, little trainee, Katie (who develops a huge crush, and misunderstands the ladies man's actions, and believes Levi's feelings are returned, and Ryker, (who, btw, needs his own book), Levi's worst "enemy" and biggest competition, for the championship fight, for which he has worked his whole life, and sees Paige is Levi's Achilles heel, relentlessly pursues her and plays on her insecurities while Levi is out of town...it appears love isn't enough to hold this relationship together.❤️🌼🔥
But real love is strong and sometimes UNEXPECTEDly will remain through the worst of times....TC Matson....UNEXPECTED is just as good as BLINDSIDED, if not better....DID I MENTION THE BOOK WAS HOT!!!!❤️🌼🔥
