Hailing from Tampa, Florida, Automatic Loveletter is fronted by singer/guitarist Juliet Simms, who has also appeared as a guest artist on albums by Secondhand Serenade, Cartel, and others. Their sound is influenced by emo, but also bears a distinct pop sensibility, which Simms’s passionate vocal delivery exploits to its fullest potential. The band, which started out under the name Stars & Scars, released its debut EP, RECOVER, in 2007, and built up its audience the following year by playing on the Vans Warped tour.
