In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. You know how you keep a few snapshots from your preschool years in your head? One of those for me is a toy keyboard with colorful stickers on it. Before I knew what each key was called, I told them apart in colors. That's how it all began. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Björk, Vespertine Portishead, Dummy ROSALÍA, EL MAL QUERER "Vespertine" showed me how classical music could be fused with electronic elements so seamlessly. "Dummy" taught me how trip hop could be combined with incredible songwriting. "El Mal Querer" proved that brilliantly fresh ideas could still emerge. Tell us why you chose this song. “How Could We Ever Know” This is my most commercially successful song to date, and ironically, it took one (very long) day for me to write, record and produce it. In the craze of the process, I felt that I tapped into something special there. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The moment when I realized I was finally capable of producing, mixing and mastering my music on my own. That moment unlocked the future for me. I felt liberated, both creatively and financially. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to continue to create music until the day I die. I want to collaborate with musicians who inspire me. I want to score films as well! The studio is my happy place. But it would be pretty cool to play shows all over the world, too.
