Al Casey

In the mid-to-late 1950s, Al Casey played guitar on the Los Angeles pop scene, often with the Sunset Riders alongside singer Sanford Clark. The pair collaborated with budding songwriter and producer Lee Hazlewood on his song, "The Fool," which would become a million-seller for Clark in 1956. Casey would go on to record "Willa Mae" and "She Gotta Shake" with Eddie Cochran, and "Movin’ And Groovin’’ with Duane Eddy. Casey subsequently wrote "Ramrod" for Eddy and the pair co-wrote "Forty Miles Of Bad Road." He became a popular session musician, playing for the Beach Boys, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Michael Nesmith, Nilsson, Elvis, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, among many others. Casey also recorded several instrumental albums under the name Exotic Guitars.
