BDAchat 52: Supermassive Super Bowl Ads

BDAchat 52: Supermassive Super Bowl Ads

It's one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

It's watched by 110 million people throughout the United States, and 50 million people outside.

It's so huge that even movie trailers drop during the half-time show.

It is of course, the Super Bowl!

When you pay £5 million for 30 seconds of air time to a global audience, you know the ads will go big.

The best ads have stories, after all, its your moment to shine, and the NFL itself is full of stories.

Historically, Super Bowl ads have left a lasting impression, and we still think of the most powerful ones (Budweiser's "Whassaaap" springs to mind), so in this episode of the podcast, we sit down to pick apart the ads for the 2019 Super Bowl.

Check out this episode of BDA Chat to discover our take on this year's plethora of Supermassive Super Bowl ads and how we rate them! Do you agree with our choices? Are there any ads you've seen that we missed out? Let us know!

BDAchat 51: Rebrands, not just a logo

BDAchat 51: Rebrands, not just a logo

Companies choose to rebrand (or refresh their brand) for a number of reasons - whether it's to keep up with the times, update stale logos, or simply to spark conversation.

But a rebrand is more than updating the colours on a logo.

It encompasses everything from tone of voice, typography, font, and even the different platforms a brand can appear on.

In fact, considering your audience and where they hang out - and thusly what platforms to use - should be one of the major points when redesigning a brand.

Either way, when a company rebrands, it tends to get creatives' tongues wagging!

Check out this episode of BDA Chat to discover our process to rebrands, the rebrands that worked - and those that didn't - and some of our favourites!

If you have questions, topic suggestions, or anything else you’d like to share with us, please do get in touch.
