Connecting by Unplugging Outdoors, Being a Hero at Home and the Excitement of Uncertainty on Epic Adventures with Ali Jafarian

Gentlemen, I’m chatting with my dear friend Ali Jafarian. Ali is an amazing husband, father, and legend in the Front Row Dads community.
If there’s one thing that the two of us have in common, it’s an appreciation for the outdoors. Whether we’re hosting a night with friends and family in the backyard around a firepit, taking the family on a hike, or creating epic adventures, we speak the same language.
In our conversation, we dropped some teasers on what the upcoming FRD Summer Summit will look like and talked about how connecting with nature and the people we love creates stories and memories that last a lifetime.
We also shared ways we can sprinkle a healthy dose of uncertainty in our kids’ lives so they can be more resilient and talked about the importance of surrendering to play, get a little silly, and create memories they’ll never forget.
    A Wide-Ranging Conversation Through…
The genesis of Front Row Dads Striving to be famous at home How humans are meant to be outside The recipe for connecting in nature The excitement of uncertainty on EPIC adventures A teaser for the FRD Summer Summit  How the Adventure Council was formed Creating mini adventures for your kids at home Get the Full Show Notes

FRD is solving a huge problem for dads. Our culture has turned “Dad” into a joke. Go ahead, google Dad and you’ll find Dad Bod, Dad Jokes, Dad Weed, etc. Culturally, it’s a Homer Simpson mentality, and it’s BS.
Our community is built for solid men. Men with range. Those who are badass, and know there’s still more to learn, together.
Most guys find it hard to find “their crew.” Finding other committed men, who are successful in life, and want to put family first – these guys are rare. Is this you?
In FRD, hundreds of men from all over the world show up for each other, to share resources and raise the bar of fatherhood (our core values)

Real Men

The tag line of family men with businesses, not business men with families is what initially drew me in. What I appreciate about this podcast is it focuses on real men, not social media influencers and gurus. The conversations are honest, vulnerable, and well rounded. I enjoy hearing how other men approach family life and how they incorporate their work into their life. These seem to be men living with purpose.

Scream free parenting

One thing I learned from this episode was the idea that we need to feel less responsible for our kids reactions but more responsible for our own reactions to them. Much more powerful and controllable way of looking at situations.

Jon is awesome!

I had the pleasure of being invited on Jon’s podcast to share my journey of fatherhood as an entrepreneur and to dispel vegan myths. It was such a fantastic conversation.

What I love about Jon is that he’s curious and wants to learn new ways of being. Whether he uses it or not, he allows the space to share. Thats what I appreciated most about our conversation.

His interviews are always rock solid and the guests he brings on share a ton of value. If you’re a father, regardless if you have a business or not, you’ll find tremendous value in his work. I highly recommend listening to his podcast during your daily commutes, walks, or however else you like to consume them!
