Quality Control: Control The Streets, Vol. 2

Quality Control: Control The Streets, Vol. 2

Having spent a quick half-decade launching the careers of hip-hop superstars like Migos, Lil Yachty, and Lil Baby, as well as supporting the journeys of countless others, Atlanta-based Quality Control has not-so-quietly become one of the most formidable labels in music. Its Control the Streets, Vol. 1, released in 2017, was a showcase for huge stars both on the label (Migos, Yachty) and off (Cardi B, Young Thug), as well as a preview of acts whose profiles had yet to fully blossom, including Tee Grizzley, Moneybagg Yo, and newly minted Quality Control signees Lil Baby and City Girls. Control the Streets, Vol. 2 follows a similar blueprint, headlined by those two up-and-comers turned actual stars alongside increasingly familiar QC faces Stefflon Don and Marlo. Yachty and Migos anchor the compilation of 36 new tracks, the latter appearing both together and solo on songs with Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, and Travis Scott. Appearances from burgeoning voices like Renni Rucci, 24 Heavy, and Rylo Rodriguez are also not to be missed, if for no other reason than the opportunity to say you knew who they were before the rest of the world did.
