The only complaint I have is that I have to wait 7 days for a new episode! If you came out with a daily show ever - I would be in heaven.
I’m a 46 year old suburbanista and I love your spunk & humor, type of information discussed, guests & questions you ask! I just want more… :)
Wanted to love this pod
I first discovered Hysteria through Pod Save America, a pod I’m a huge fan of.
But now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned, I’ve had to unsubscribe. The host Erin has made comments over the past two years, like “Idky any woman would live in Wisconsin” or “if I were in Texas, I’d get out already”.
Not all of us have the means to afford a house or a life in California, or the ability to “just move”. Some of us, like myself, are homeowners/small business owners (and are raising their small children near their grandparents) and have too many entanglements to just pick up and leave. It seems that host Erin lacks empathy and doesn’t recognize her own privilege.
If you’re a progressive activist living in a red state, times are tough-especially post Roe. Find a pod with compassionate, true feminists that won’t make you feel worse.
Rethink the attempts at humor
FYI it’s possible to build humor about things besides judging other people. Whenever y’all try to be funny, all you can seem to do is pick someone to judge. Why? It’s such weak humor.
