About Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is an English rock band fronted by the former leader of the multi-Platinum band Oasis. ∙ After leaving Oasis in 2009, Gallagher officially launched High Flying Birds with the release of 2011’s jaunty “The Death of You and Me,” which reached No. 15 on the UK singles chart. ∙ The band’s self-titled debut album has sold more than 800,000 copies since its 2011 release. ∙ Chasing Yesterday, their psychedelically tinged second full-length, won Best Album at the 2015 Q Awards. ∙ Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, one of Gallagher’s major influences, played on the band’s 2015 single “Ballad of the Mighty I.” ∙ In 2017, Who Built the Moon? was nominated for Britain’s Mercury Prize, the first Gallagher record to make the award’s shortlist since Oasis’ (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? ∙ All three of the band’s LPs have hit No. 1 on the UK albums chart and reached the Top 10 in Japan.
