Canada’s Country With Brett Kissel

There are a lot of reasons why Brett Kissel is the perfect artist to host Canada’s Country Radio on Apple Music Country—not least of which is the fact that he released a song called “Airwaves” in 2015. “I can’t help but chuckle when I realize that there will actually be ‘something in the airwaves’ with our new radio show,” he tells Apple Music. The St. Paul, Alberta-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter put out his first album at the age of 12—and he hasn’t stopped since. And he’s also got the gift of gab. “Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a storyteller and an entertainer to my core,” he says. “So interviewing my friends in the business will not be your typical Q&A. It’s gonna be entertaining. I’m talking road stories. Embarrassing moments. Lots of laughs.” And naturally, there’ll be a whole lot of music. “Canadian country has never been stronger. It has never been better,” Kissel adds. “Our music has never been more accessible to a worldwide audience than right now! And although it is not very ‘Canadian’ to boast, I will proudly boast and say how exciting it is to see so many Canadian stars crushing it in Nashville.” Hear Canada’s Country Radio every other week on Apple Music Country. 10 Canadian Country Classic Albums Brett Loves: Shania Twain, Come On Over Paul Brandt, This Time Around Charlie Major, The Other Side Corb Lund, Five Dollar Bill George Fox, Greatest Hits 1987-1997 The Rankin Family, North Country Johnny Reid, Kicking Stones Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Room With a View Dean Brody, Trail in Life The Road Hammers, The Road Hammers
